THE FUTURE OF HISTORY CONNOR BOYLAN

About Connor
I'm a 21 year old CU student from south Boulder. I'm a third year art practices major currently procrastinating my application into the drawing & painting BFA program. I'm also a business and CTD minor, so I'm totally going to have to stay here for another year. I spent the summer in Boulder, where I had an internship with the Longmont Firehouse Art Center gallery and an internship with local artist and CU professor Marisa Ware. Up until then I honestly had no idea if pursuing art would end up a mistake that directs me toward impoverishment. Now I'm more excited about it and I even have a cool website and blog called THE FUTURE OF HISTORY. I like the name because it sounds important but doesn't actually mean anything.
I'm a big fan of music, hockey, and going on walks. I collect records and try to listen to as many new albums that I'm interested that come out every year. I like most genres and enjoy exploring. This year I got really into noise rock, experimental hip hop, and I'm starting to get into jazz fusion. To illustrate how insufferable of a person I am, please imagine me listening to that while rifling through thrift aisles to take the good things and mercilessly sell them for profit (disgusting).
If there's anything you should remember me by, just shudder in knowing that I am the reason that there are now tables and chairs in the basement of the VAC, like 30 yards away, instead of the single comfy chairs from before. Last semester, my friend and I were bugged with how the VAC really doesn't have anywhere to hang out, so we made this proposal for a room to be converted into a place for that and for art students to work together and share inspiration blah blah blah. It was miraculously approved, but under the condition that the changes would be according to the best of what the art department could feasibly do. So on behalf of the VAC I am proud to present this convenient furniture conversion
