I've never used Adobe Audition before, but it immediately felt familiar since it shares a lot in common with the basic video editing software I learned to use in middle school, the disgusting, awful, deplorable WeVideo which has fallen from it's mediocre glory to utter garbage where you need to spend 10$ just to download the video you spent hours making for class last year. Anyway, it reminded me of how I used to adore making shitposts back in the day, and I still think this platform, audition, is designed to make lighthearted, stupid shit which I am excited to indulge in. Replacing sounds for some reason is something I find very hard not to use for laughs - however, I'm hoping to blend this background with a more artful direction too, at least in the aesthetic direction of my piece. I'm sure it could be intriguing to go for something experimental and avant garde such as John Cage would do, but I think it would be a waste of time if I didn't try to do something a bit more fun to make than that. I'm thinking of going with some old VCR era infomercial

footage, which I think will be a great foundation for sound play, making cheesy effects sound at home. I feel like I could also extend this from my last project, and maybe have it be a restaurant ad, someone eating food, or a food product to play with. Either way I'm hoping to make it funny, stupid, and kind of gross which should be pretty enjoyable. I think the only challenge that stands in my way is finding at least around 4:33 of base material to manipulate, but who knows, it could be clever to stitch videos together if we can do that.
